During the three-day study visit, the guests will hear presentations from the representatives of the Centre of Registers and Information Systems, Government Office, Information System Authority, State Shared Service Centre, Statistics Estonia, Tallinn University of Technology, as well as Nordic Institute for Interoperability Solutions and SK ID Solutions AS. In addition, the National Audit Office of Estonia will present its own work and methodological approaches. Through the visit, the guests seek to acquire substantive knowledge about the functioning of X-Road, electronic identity, and blockchain technology, as well as the governance and use of data in Estonia’s public sector.
The supreme audit institutions of Estonia and India cooperate closely, particularly in the field of information technology and the auditing of its use. National Audit Office of Estonia chairs the EUROSAI IT Working Group, while the Office of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India performs a similar role at the global level as Chair of the INTOSAI Working Group on IT Audit.
