An additional analysis of the documents revealed that Eesti Energia AS burns phenol water in compliance with law, which is why the National Audit Office will change the conclusion it made in the report, i.e. that there is no proper legal basis for burning phenol water. The Environmental Board has granted the company the right to burn phenol water on the basis of the integrated environmental permits of Eesti Energia AS and since 31 December 2012, the activity of Eesti Energia AS in burning phenol water has complied with the conditions set in the integrated environmental permits.
