The 26th Symposium is dedicated to exploring the role of supreme audit institutions in achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 13 which foresees urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts.
Auditor General Janar Holm will address the audience of the Symposium with a leading comment during a session on auditing the impact of climate change, focussing on legislation and use of data in climate policy. Representatives of the SAIs of Angola, France, India, Iraq and Somalia are also scheduled to speak at the same session.
UN/INTOSAI symposia have been organised since 1971 with an aim to encourage knowledge exchange and discussion on global challenges between SAIs from developed and developing countries and in collaboration with the thematic units of the UN.
