Auditor General of Estonia to present on digitalisation at a high-level EU presidency conference in Brussels

TALLINN, 18 June 2024 – Auditor General of Estonia Janar Holm is taking part in a High-Level Conference “Resilient SAIs for Resilient Societies” organised by the Court of Audit of Belgium in frames of the Belgian EU presidency in Brussels today.

The Estonian Auditor General is one of the speakers in a session “Resilience and digitalisation”, focusing on the risks and opportunities of digitalisation from the viewpoint of the supreme audit institutions and covering among other things the aspects of digital sovereignty, citizens’ trust and cyber security. Ms Annemie Turtelboom, Member of the European Court of Auditors and Mr Paul Belleflame, Professor at UCLouvainare also to take part in a panel discussion on the matter, moderated by the President of the Portuguese Court of Accounts Mr José F. F. Tavares.

Representatives from several European SAIs and the European Court of Auditors as well as the European Commission and European universities are to attend the High-Level Conference.
