TALLINN, 22 June 2015 – On 24-27 June, Auditor General Alar Karis will attend the VIII EUROSAI-OLACEFS (Latin American and Caribbean Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions) Conference in Quito to lead a discussion session on "Coordinated audits as a tool for monitoring sustainable development" and make a speech on paperless audit at the session on "SAIs and free access to data" led by the Dutch SAI.
The EUROSAI-OLACEFS Conferences have been held every three years alternately in Europe and Latin America since 2000 for the purpose of sharing experience in auditing the public sector and fostering cooperation between European SAIs, on the one hand, and the Latin American and Caribbean SAIs, on the other hand.
