TALLINN, 22 September 2014 – On 15-19 September, Senior Auditor Alina Green and Auditor Andrei Katsuba from the Financial Audit Department of the National Audit Office coached the staff of the Kazakh SAI in the field of international auditing standards in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan.
Kazakhstan intends to make the transition to international auditing standards (ISSA) in 2015. The training session was attended by 60 staff members engaged in auditing and 10 further individuals (who are involved in preparing training courses, etc.). The representatives of the Estonian SAI introduced the structure of standards, and the trainees completed practical exercises and took a test at the end of the course. The event was organised by the training centre for the employees of the Kazakh SAI. An article concerning financial audits was written for the magazine Government Audit („Государственный аудит“) published by the Kazakh SAI.
