TALLINN, 3 November 2014 – Auditor General Alar Karis presented the annual report of the National Audit Office, which reviews the development of Estonia and the status of the state’s finances and economy, to President of the Riigikogu Eiki Nestor earlier today.
This year’s report of the National Audit Office focuses mainly on six areas. Some of these areas are old acquaintances (social security systems, the school network, local government reforms et al.) that still need considerable attention, functioning ideas, brave decisions and decisive action from the Riigikogu and the Government of the Republic. In this year’s report, the National Audit Office is also offering recommendations and solutions that could help make the decisions.
