TALLINN, 17 August 2022 – On 16–17 August, the Deputy Chairman Bakhodir Turabov and the Head of Foreign Relations Sardorbek Usmanov of the Supreme Audit Institution of the Republic of Uzbekistan visited the National Audit Office. At the meeting with the Auditor General Janar Holm, thoughts were exchanged on the impact of digitisation on the work of audit institutions as well as the contribution of audit institutions on the development of digital society. Possibilities for mutual cooperation and exchange of experiences in the future were discussed.
During the visit, the employees of the National Audit Office gave the visitors an overview of the activities of the National Audit Office, introduced the audit process and relationships with various stakeholders. The IT audit process and experience of data analysis at the National Audit Office were discussed in more detail. Broader international projects in the field of IT audit were also introduced as the National Audit Office of Estonia has been leading the IT Working Group of EUROSAI, the association of the highest supreme audit institutions in Europe, since 2020.
The delegation of the Supreme Audit Institution of the Republic of Uzbekistan met with the representatives of TalTech School of Business and Governance in Estonia and visited the e-Estonia Presentation Centre.
