TALLINN, 12 April 2022 – A virtual seminar on data exchange for the Information Technology Working Group of the European Organisation of Supreme Audit Institutions (EUROSAI) will take place today with the participation of the representatives of supreme audit institutions from around the world.

Supreme audit institutions are using increasing amounts of data to carry out their functions and have encountered technical and legal obstacles to obtaining data. Solutions have also been found that could make auditing more effective.

During the day, a number of presentations on the experience of European national audit institutions in data processing are planned, including a broader overview of the European national audit institutions’ data exchange practices. Ott Velsberg, Head of Estonian State Data at the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications will give a guest presentation on the effective use of data in state agencies.
