Auditor General of Estonia at the meeting of the heads of EU supreme audit institutions

TALLINN, 15 October 2024 – Auditor General of Estonia Mr Janar Holm attends the High-Level conference in Cyprus dedicated to the independence of supreme audit institutions. On 16-17th October it is followed by the meeting of the Contact Committee of the heads of European Union supreme audit institutions (SAIs) in the same location.

At today’s high-level event dedicated to SAI independence, presentations from the representatives of supreme audit institutions, European Commission, OECD, House of Representatives of Cyprus and INTOSAI Development Initiative will be heard.

The 2024 Contact Committee meeting held in Cyprus will be focused on the challenges and opportunities of migration. Janar Holm has been invited to moderate a panel discussion “Migration as an opportunity for filling gaps in the labour markets of EU member states” in which migration expert Mr Manos Mathioudakis, Auditors General of Poland and Germany and the representative of the SAI of Slovakia will share their perspectives. The agenda of the Contact Committee also includes an overview of ongoing CC activities and other cooperative projects between the members.

Ms Ines Metsalu-Nurminen, Director of Audit and Ms Kaire Kesküla, Head of International Relations will accompany the Auditor General at the Contact Committee events.
