TALLINN, 11 September 2017 – The National Audit Office of Estonia will organise the Young EUROSAI Conference, which will be attended by almost 100 young auditors from more than 40 countries, in Tallinn from 11 to 14 September.
The main topic of the Young Conference of the European Organisation of Supreme Audit Institutions is Updates Available, which proceeds from the constant development of digital technology and the increase in data volumes, and the need to constantly develop oneself in the field of auditing.
The main speakers at the conference are open data expert and founder of Open Knowledge International Rufus Pollock, Professor Robert Krimmer from the Tallinn University of Technology and Senior Researcher at the Centre of IT Impact Studies of Tartu University.
President of the European Court of Auditors Klaus-Heiner Lehne and Auditor General of Finland Tytti Yli-Viikari will visit the conference as special guests.
The Young EUROSAI Conference YES is aimed at auditors under 35 years of age in order to unite them in a cooperation network. The conference started on the initiative of the Auditor General of the Netherlands to give young people the chance to share their new and fresh ideas.
The first Young EUROSAI Conference was organised by the Netherlands Court of Audit in 2013 and its central topic was innovation. The second conference took place in Israel in 2015 and the topic of discussion was National Audit Office and I.
This year’s conference will be held at the Mektory Innovation and Business Centre of the Tallinn University of Technology.
