TALLINN, 29 July 2004 - Lasting rainfalls have caused floods in the basement floor of the building of the State Audit Office on Narva Road in Tallinn and brought about the need to turn off some utilities, which are necessary for the work of the State Audit Office, in order to ensure the safety of the employees and equipment of the institution. Therefore, the State Audit Office has ceased work temporarily.
In addition to technical utility systems the basement floor damaged by water also accommodates meeting rooms, the archive and the storage of the State Audit Office. Floors, office furniture and some of the office supplies and archived materials deposited in the storage have been damaged.
