The delegation of the Estonian National Audit Office will participate in the congress of the world's supreme audit institutions in Brazil

TALLINN, 8 November 2022- – The delegation of the National Audit Office of Estonia, headed by the Auditor General Janar Holm, will participate on 8 to 11 November at the 24th Congress of the International Organisation of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI) in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The main topics of the Congress are "The work of Supreme Audit Institutions in the face of public calamities " and "Global voice, global outcome, and far-reaching impact". At the congress, a report will be given on what was done in the past working period and goals for the next three years will be set. In addition, Brazil's Supreme Audit Institution will become the new head of INTOSAI for the next three years.

Together with the Auditor General, the Director of Audit Ines Metsalu-Nurminen, the Head of International Relations Krislin Kivi and the Head of the EUROSAI IT Working Group’s secretariat and Data Analytics Project Manager Alvar Nõuakas will participate in the congress.

Alvar Nõuakas will give a presentation at the academic side event of the congress, the topic of which is ("Digital Transformation: Governments and Supreme Audit Institutions") and provide an overview of the latest IT audits of the National Audit Office at the discussion led by the National Audit Office of Israel, "Cybersecurity Auditing – Current and Future Challenges." The National Audit Office’s delegation also will hold several bilateral meetings with other supreme audit institutions to discuss further cooperation opportunities.
