TALLINN, 8 March 2004 - The Auditor General, Mihkel Oviir and the SAO Chief Auditors, Jüri Kõrge and Märt Kivine will visit the Finnish State Audit Office on Tuesday, March 9. The purpose of the official business visit is to strengthen the ties between the two organisations.
The Finnish State Audit Office will introduce its financial and performance auditing as well as its activities related to the EU. There will be presentations “Computer-assisted auditing” and “Effectiveness of environment-related aid on the basis of practical examples”. The first presentation servers the purpose of exchanging information on how the both parties use IT solutions audit planning and implementation. The second presentation will constitute a framework for discussing issues connected with the auditing of environment-related aid.
