TALLINN, 28 September 2010 - On the invitation of the Auditor General of Armenia, Estonian Auditor General Mihkel Oviir, the chairman of the Working Group on Environmental Auditing of the International Organisation of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI), will attend the 10th anniversary meeting of the board of leaders of the supreme audit institutions of the Member States of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) being held in Yerevan on 29 & 30 October 2010. Oviir will be giving a welcoming speech on behalf of the INTOSAI Working Group on Environmental Auditing, outlining the group’s activities and plans for the future. He will be underscoring the need to promote environmental auditing within CIS Member States, five of which belong to the working group.
