TALLINN, 20 October 2016 – The annual meeting of the Contact Committee of the Heads of the Supreme Audit Institutions of the EU and the European Court of Auditors will be held from 20 to 21 October in Bratislava and it will be attended by the Auditor General Alar Karis, the Director of Development Urmet Lee and the Head of International Relations Tuuli Rasso.
Energy and climate issues in the European Union are the main focus of the meeting. Summaries will be made of the activities of the working groups and cooperation networks of the contact committee over the last year, audit projects will be introduced and resolutions about further activities will be adopted.
The auditors general of the three Baltic States will sign the Rail Baltic cooperation memorandum in the morning of 20 October as a side event of the meeting.
