TALLINN, 24 October 2016 – Auditor General Alar Karis and Senior Auditor at the Performance Audit Department Viire Viss will attend the 17th meeting of the Working Group on Environmental Auditing (WGEA) of the European Organisation of Supreme Audit Institutions (EUROSAI) from 24 to 27 October 2016 in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Alar Karis is the head of the EUROSAI WGEA, a regional working group of the INTOSAI WGEA, and will deliver an overview of the activities and future plans of the regional working group at the conference. During the 2014-2016 reporting period, the National Audit Office led the INTOSAI WGEA research project ‘Use of Market-Based Instruments in Environmental Conservation’ and at the meeting, Viire Viss will be moderating the discussion where the results of the project will be introduced.
