TALLINN, 2 September 2002 - On Wednesday and Thursday (4-5 September) the representatives of Supreme Audit Institutions of Baltic and Nordic countries will meet in Riga. The topics of the annual meeting are evaluation of administrative capacity, financial management systems and public sector accountability in different countries, also the experiences of audits of fraud and corruption are under discussion.
The head of the delegation of the Estonian State Audit Office is the Acting Auditor General Jüri Kõrge.
The co-operation between the Baltic Supreme Audit Institutions started in 1994 when the co-operation agreement between the three SAIs was signed. Since 2000 the representatives of the Nordic countries take part of the annual meeting.
