TALLINN, 19 April 2015 – The international peer review team is on its second mission in the National Audit Office (NAO) from 20 to 24 April. The team members include: Barbara Goezinne, Frank van den Broek, Paul Neelissen and Luc Terra from the Dutch SAI, Jenny Öhman Persson and Fredrik Friberg from the Swedish SAI and Paweł Banaś from the Polish SAI.

During the week, there will be about 40 meetings with the NAO executives, audit teams and services as well as many external parties (Members of the Riigikogu, representatives of ministries, journalists, representatives of various NGOs, etc.). The NAO has selected 11 audits across three departments for closer inspection.

Three SAIs (Dutch, Swedish and Polish) are involved in the review with the Dutch SAI in charge. According to plans, the peer review will be completed in September 2015. Previous reviews commissioned by the National Audit Office were conducted in 1999 and 2005.
