TALLINN, 14 November 2015 – Auditor General Alar Karis will be attending the Global Leadership Symposium to be held from 15 to 20 November in Shimla, India, which is organised by the INTOSAI Development Initiative (IDI) and hosted by the Comptroller and Auditor General of India.
Senior auditor of the Financial Audit Department Angela Onno will also represent the National Audit Office at the symposium. Representatives of all five INTOSAI regions have been invited to participate in the discussion.
The goal is to reach a common understanding of the skills and characteristics that the leaders of supreme audit institutions should have, and how to develop and recognise them via development programmes for leaders.
The focus will be on young and potential leaders, and their development. The forum should provide an input for the young leaders’ programme of supreme audit institutions that is currently being developed.
