TALLINN, 7 November 2015 – EUROSAI and the Office of the State Comptroller of Israel will be organising the 2nd Young EUROSAI Conference (YES 2.0) from 8 to 13 November in Jerusalem. The conference will bring together auditors aged under 35 from Europe and one of its guests of honour is the Auditor General of Estonia Alar Karis.

The other representatives of the National Audit Office who will be attending the conference are adviser to the secretariat of the EUROSAI Working Group on Environmental Auditing Krislin Kivi, auditor of the Financial Audit Department Stella Iis and auditor of the Performance Audit Department Kadri Pungas.

The topic of the conference is ‘SAI&I’. The rapidly changing environment with its new technological solutions calls for appropriate and innovative approaches, and young people certainly have ideas to share and develop further.

Krislin Kivi will organise the sustainable development workshop at the conference, and Stella Iis and Kadri Pungas will organise a workshop that focuses on interactive methods for the inclusion of citizens in the governance process and the work of supreme audit institutions. In addition to the events of the conference, the programme for the guests of honour includes visits to the Holocaust Museum and the Parliament of Israel, as well as a meeting with the President of Israel.
