Auditor General to attend annual meeting of EUROSAI IT working group

TALLINN, 4 April 2019 – Auditor General Janar Holm will be taking part in the 13th Annual Plenary Meeting of the European Organisation of Supreme Audit Institutions (EUROSAI) Working Group on Information Technologies (WGIT) in Malta on 4 & 5 April 2019, at which he will be outlining the National Audit Office’s plans in relation to its possibly assuming the leadership of the working group.

At the WGIT’s last Plenary Meeting in April 2018 the National Audit Office of Estonia confirmed its willingness to start leading the group from 2020. The decision regarding the new lead country will be made during next year’s EUROSAI congress. The WGIT is currently led by the National Audit Office of Poland.

The Auditor General will also be meeting with his Maltese and Polish counterparts while in Malta.

This meeting will also be attended by senior auditor Alo Lääne, auditor Alvar Nõuakas and international relations adviser Kaire Kesküla.
