TALLINN, 5 February 2018 – National Audit Office audit managers Airi Andresson and Kaire Kuldpere are visiting the supreme audit institution of Kuwait from 3-7 February 2018 as part of a cooperation project.
During their visit they will showcase the single energy market of the European Union and the use of renewable energy. They will also discuss environmental issues arising from the oil shale industry and how they are resolved.
The basis of cooperation between the supreme audit institutions of Estonia and Kuwait is an agreement that was signed by Estonian Auditor General Alar Karis and Kuwaiti Audit Office President Adel Abdulaziz Al-Sarawi on 5 December 2016. The aims of the agreement are to exchange practical experience at the auditor level based on mutual interest, to foster meaningful contact between the audit institutions of the two countries and to establish a network of experts. The agreement includes an action plan for the next four years that will see experts from both institutions meeting at least once a year in both Estonia and Kuwait to discuss specific topics.
