TALLINN, 23 September 2025 – On 23–24 September, the National Audit Office of Estonia, in cooperation with the Supreme Audit Office of the Czech Republic, will host the 18th meeting of the EUROSAI IT Working Group in Prague that focuses on the development of public e-services.
As the opening event of the meeting, a hybrid seminar titled “Implementing Seamless E-Services: Big Challenges and Small Victories” will take place on 23 September, focusing on the challenges and success stories of creating efficient and user-friendly digital public services.
The seminar will be opened by Auditor General of Estonia Mr Janar Holm and President of the Supreme Audit Office of the Czech Republic Mr Miloslav Kala. Speakers will include representatives from the supreme audit institutions of Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Iceland, Latvia, Malta, Qatar, Romania, Slovenia, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. In addition, experts from the European Commission, the Czech Digital and Information Agency, and the private company Bank Identity will share their knowledge. The panel discussion will address the preconditions for developing functional e-services in the public sector and how to overcome the related challenges.
From Estonia, Audit Manager Toomas Viira will speak, presenting Estonia’s life-event services concept and the National Audit Office’s audit from last year, which assessed the achievement of objectives in developing proactive and user-centric e-services.
The event will be moderated by the Head of EUROSAI IT Working Group Secretariat Mr Alvar Nõuakas together with Ms Júlia Petrášová from the Czech Supreme Audit Office.
On the second day of the ITWG 18th meeting, an overview of ongoing activities will be provided, along with various discussions on planning future activities, including a session aimed at promoting networking among the CIOs of the supreme audit institutions.
The ITWG 18th meeting will be held in a hybrid format and has attracted around 60 onsite and nearly 200 virtual participants from the supreme audit institutions of Europe and other regions.
