TALLINN, 12 September 2024 – The annual Baltic Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) Forum is taking place in Vilnius today and tomorrow, 12-13 September.
The Auditors General of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania together with other SAI representatives will discuss various aspects related to increasing the impact of audits and fostering communication with stakeholders. Auditor General Mr Janar Holm will present on the importance of timing and choice of audit topics coupled with consistent follow-up on problem-solving, while the Directors of Audit share their reflections on the key factors for an SAI to respond to emerging issues as well as challenges related to activity-based budgeting in Estonia. Audit experts will introduce their recent work in the areas of energy and forestry in the parallel sessions of the Forum. Participants will also visit SAI Lithuania’s innovation lab “LabAI” during the conference.
The delegation of the National Audit Office of Estonia to the Baltic SAIs forum comprises of Auditor General Mr Janar Holm, Directors of Audit Ms Ines Metsalu-Nurminen and Mr Märt Loite, Senior Advisor Ms Kaia Philips, Auditors Mr Alar Jürgenson and Ms Tuuli Rasso, and the Head of International Relations Ms Kaire Kesküla.
