Forest felling in protected areas
The purpose of the audit is to find out whether forest felling in protected areas ensures the preservation of the natural values for which these areas have been created.
In this audit, responses are sought to the following questions:
• What is the state's overview of the condition of protected forests and related natural values, the extent of felling, and the estimated environmental impact?
• Is the protection of natural values ensured in the protected areas, and are the protection objectives met?
• Do mechanisms of compensation for felling restrictions due to nature conservation contribute to the protection of the natural values?
• Is the protection of the natural values (valuable habitats) located outside the protected areas ensured?
