Financing of entrepreneurship and regional development from European Union support
The purpose of the audit is to ascertain whether the state has prepared for the significant decrease in EU support in order to guarantee the performance of the state’s functions when the support from the EU cohesion policy funds decreases.
In the course of the audit, the National Audit Office will analyse whether the relevant ministries have taken a position in the following issues: which activities aimed at supporting enterprise and regional development that are currently financed from EU support must continue also in the next budgetary period of the EU; will the estimated need for financing change and how; from which source will the activities be financed and what will be the impact of the end of the activities or a significant decrease in funding on public services and sectoral goals.
