Organisation and financing of environmental protection to ensure preservation of semi-natural biotic communities

The organisation of nature conservation has been repeatedly reformed over the last decade: the State Nature Conservation Centre was established instead of conservation areas with administration (national parks and larger nature conservation areas) and the conservation areas that were managed by environmental authorities which blended into the Environmental Board created a couple of years later (2009). The infrastructure of conservation areas was transferred to the management of the State Forest Management Centre, which was also assigned the task of organising conservation.
The purpose of the audit is to assess whether the organisation of nature conservation (including investments) contributes effectively to the preservation or achievement of the good condition of objects of conservation value.
